I used the same set up a few years back with an emu mo phatt, midi keyboard and my 2000xl. I don't pretend to be an expert on midi but just try that set up. Regarding the akai s6000, i only connected the midi in of the s6000 to a midi out of the mpc 60 so i could trigger samples. I own an Akai mpc 60 mk1 with scsi option and 3.1os and until recently i only used the mpc to make music (i know really old school ).Anyway i recently bought a roland xv 5080 and an akai s 6000,the problem is though how do i connect the midi out/in from the xv 5080 and the s6000 to my mpc in order to record midi signals from the xv 5080 and playback them afterwards and how do i connect the s6000 in order to trigger sounds from the s6000 ?
